SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

WEDNESDAY 6th FEB, 2019

3:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Registration, Captain’s Meeting & Kick-Off Party at Sea Spray Resort & Marina

Registration opens early. Cocktails, appetizers and live entertainment start at 5:00 pm. Captain’s meeting will commence at 7:30 pm sharp. Come early and enjoy an afternoon and evening of Karaoke, games and activities that will get you in the mood for a fabulous weekend of friendly competition and camaraderie with your teammates and fellow anglers.

ReminderAt least one team member from each boat must attend the captain’s meeting at 7:30 pm. Any changes to angler entries must be done during registration starting at 3:00 pm.


THURSDAY 7th FEBRUARY, 2019

First day of fishing commences with coffee and continental breakfast buffet at 6:00 am for all registered anglers.

7:30 am Lines In – 3:00 pm Lines Out

2:30 pm – 5:00 pm Weigh-in is open

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Cocktail hour and regular restaurant menu. Live entertainment by Wilner Pierre.

FRIDAY 9th FEBRUARY, 2019

Second day of fishing commences with coffee and continental breakfast buffet at 6:00 am for all registered anglers.

7:30 am Lines In – 3:00 pm Lines Out

2:30 pm – 5:00 pm Weigh-in is open

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Hors d’oeuvres and cocktail hour. Three course steak and lobster dinner or vegetarian dinner for all tournament participants.

Live entertainment featuring New Entry Band.


SATURDAY 10th FEBRUARY, 2019

Third day of fishing commences with coffee and continental breakfast buffet at 6:00 am for all registered anglers.

7:30 am Lines In – 2:00 pm Lines Out

2:00 pm – 4:30 pm Weigh-in is open

5:00 pm – 11:00 pm Finish up in style!

Cocktails and Sea Spray Resort’s famous wood-roasted rotisserie chicken and barbecue ribs dinner.

Awards ceremony and live entertainment, culminating with a cultural Junkanoo parade

First Place Overall Team/Boat

Awarded to the team/boat with the highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna & Mahi-Mahi, over three days.

Champions trophy, cash prize and champions prize package.


Second Place Overall Team/Boat

Awarded to the team/boat with the second highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna & Mahi-Mahi over three days.

Second place trophy, cash prize and second place prize package.


Third Place Overall Team/Boat

Awarded to the team/boat with the third highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna & Mahi-Mahi over three days.

Third place trophy, cash prize and third place prize package.


Fourth Place Overall Team/Boat

Awarded to the team/boat with the fourth highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna & Maki-Mahi over three days.

Fourth place trophy and fourth place prize package.


Fifth Place Overall Team/Boat

Awarded to the team/boat with the fifth highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna & Mahi-Mahi over three days.

Fifth place trophy and fifth place prize package.

Grouper Trolling Champion

A special trophy and prize package will be awarded to the team/boat that weighs the single largest Grouper during the tournament. Trolling only allowed for this category and no live bait. Each team/boat is allowed to weigh one Grouper per day ten pounds or larger. Grouper points do not count towards the overall tournament points and awards

 


Bahamian Champion Award

Awarded to a team/boat from The Bahamas that must have at least two registered anglers that are residents of The Bahamas. The local team with the highest point total from combined weight of Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi and Grouper over two days will win a special trophy and a special prize package.


Optional Value Added Categories

TOP THREE                     Pays 50/30/20        $400.00 per boat

BIGGEST FISH                 Winner takes all     $400.00 per boat

HEAVIEST WAHOO          Winner takes all      $200.00 per boat

HEAVIEST MAHI              Winner takes all      $200.00 per boat

HEAVIEST TUNA              Winner takes all      $200.00 per boat


 

All prize money is based on the number of boats entered in the tournament and in the optional value added categories. 10% will come off the top of all money collected and will be donated to three charities, namely, Hope Town Primary School, Every Child Counts Organization and Hope Town Fire and Rescue Association.

There is a 10-pound minimum qualifying weight for all fish weighed in this event. Each team/boat is eligible to weigh their two largest Wahoo, Tuna & Mahi-Mahi for a total of six fish per team/boat, per day. Eligible Tuna species are: Yellow Fin Tuna & Black-fin Tuna only.
